What is the best way to wash a car by hand and not damage the paint finish?

The most important aspect of protecting the finish on your automobile is the way you dry it. Just as O_o mentioned, it is critical that you dry your car with a chamois leather. Never use a towel to dry your car. I own and operate a automobile dealership and have been detailing automobiles for over 18 years. We use a automotive wash %26amp; wax soap, similar to what you can purchase at the auto parts store, and a very, very soft bristle brush(commercial) to wash our cars. We frequently work with Porsche, Cadillac, BMW, Mercedes, etc. Just remember to always keep your soapy water clean, as well as, the mitt or brush that you using. Good Luck with the Care of your car. -ChuckWhat is the best way to wash a car by hand and not damage the paint finish?
What ';ajw'; said BUT.

THE MAIN PART.

A ';shammy'; it's spelled diffrent I think, but they are meant for cars and don't scratch the surface. What scratches cars are the towels you use to dry them, which makes that swirled scratched surface when you look at the paint. So you need.....

Meguiars Car Wash %26lt;--- Best brand I think.

Shammy

And pick somthing up that you can use to apply the soap and water.

That's it. Trust me, I have 3 spotless rare cars that I wash myself, not a single scratch, except when I backed into boxed in my garage but, that doesn't count. =DWhat is the best way to wash a car by hand and not damage the paint finish?
Like the guy above said but use like a soft setting on your hose nozzle and like car shops sometimes sell hand washers that is like a glove that you put on so you can do it softly and poor the liquid in like a bucket and add water then put the hand glove in and wash.
A car wash detergent type liquid is sold at all auto parts stores and about any where like Walmart or Target. It will not take your wax off when you wash the car.
As stated above and also use a lambs wool glove especially made for carwashing not just any rag.
